Our world is looking for love. Every problem we are facing right now is the result of not experiencing the love of God. Stop for a minute and allow that to sink in. Consider the next truth: God has enough love for every single person and for every single problem we are facing. Jesus came to prove this and John 3:16-17 sums up why He came, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.” If this love is so great and the world’s issues so abundant, how can this love be released in the world in a way that will bring transformation? Through us!
Several prophetic words have been spoken over the year 2020 and many have to do with massive harvest of souls coming into the kingdom beginning this year. While many things we see in the natural appear to be the exact opposite of that promise, God’s words are true and He wants us to partner with Him to see His kingdom come. Here are a few ways we can do this now:
Return to the Fear of the Lord! To fear God means to honor Him for who He is and to be in awe of Him. Several places in scripture we are commanded to fear Him (Psalm 34:7,9) When our eyes are truly opened to see the God we serve, we will fall on our faces in worship! When we are enamored by the One who loves us perfectly and saved us, lesser things cannot hold our affections. It’s time for God’s people to return to the fear of the Lord and live fully surrendered lives that are all about Him and His purposes.
Right now, many Christians are being faced with this decision-who will we fear? Who will we give our allegiance to? Will we bow before Jesus or the fear of a virus, fear of offending others, fear of what others will think, basically a fear of doing anything! We see many examples of those in the Bible who were consumed with the fear of God. Here a few and the exploits they accomplished as a result: Moses was sent to Pharaoh to command he let the Children of Israel go so they could worship Him (Exodus 3-14), David chose to turn from his family’s mockery to stare Goliath in the face and kill him, freeing the people of God from slavery to the Philistines (I Samuel 17), Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow to an idol and were punished for it. But their God saved them from the fiery furnace (Daniel 3). Not only did Jesus come into the fire with them, King Nebuchadnezzar witnessed the power of God to deliver His people, and declared that this God was the only One to be worshiped! The fear of God attracts the favor of God. We need to fear nothing when all we see is His face!
Allow the Love of God to Consume Us! When we know how much our Father loves us, we will love ourselves and the world with that love. This love gives us boldness that is supernatural. When we are in love like this, we will believe for the impossible, then step out to see Jesus do the impossible! We are unstoppable when we know the God of the universe is for us and backing us up! One of the greatest hinderances to the love of God flowing to and through us is fear. Get rid of fear at any cost! Perfect love casts out all fear (I John 4:16-18), so submerge yourself in the love of God until fear no longer controls you.
Stand in our Authority in Christ. When we know that we are lavishly loved sons and daughters of the King of Heaven, we will know how to stand in our authority. One practical example of this is when Covid first started, I was spending time with the Lord and He said, “If My people stood in authority over this virus and stopped being afraid and hiding in their homes, it would end!” It was a strong, yet loving word to us about how God sees us and what He expects us to do. I repented for not fully walking in my authority. Our Father gave us the mandate and authority to rule the earth with Him in Genesis 1:26-28. In Romans 5, Paul tells us that Christ gave back the authority we handed Satan through sin and unbelief. Psalm 24:1 tells us, “the earth is the Lord’s and all the fullness, the world and those who dwell in it.” It’s time for a righteous anger to arise in us that says, “this is our Father’s world, and He did not create it for sin and chaos!” We bring heaven to earth as we find out what His will is, declare it, and do it. It is that simple.
Many are waiting on God to do something, but I believe He is waiting on us. He is waiting to see if we are hungry enough for Him to surrender our entire lives and hearts to Him and His purposes. He’s waiting to baptize us in His Spirit and love in such a way that others will be drawn to Jesus all around us. He is waiting for us to hear His heart for this broken and lost world, then run to them with the hope we carry. I encourage you to spend time with the Lord today and ask Him what His specific plans are for you. Ask Him how He designed you and what part you play in bringing in the massive harvest of sons and daughters that is on our doorstep.
Much love,
Gabby
